Automotive: Stellantis transforms its distribution network

The manufacturer wants to save money. By next year, its dealers will become agents.

A year ago, Stellantis denounced the contracts of all of its dealers in France. Its 14 brands are concerned

including Peugeot, Citroën, Fiat, DS or Alfa Romeo.

However, two years' notice was given in order to negotiate as best as possible.

"Contrary to what has sometimes been said, we do not want to distribute our vehicles without a network

," reassures Guillaume Couzy, director of Stellantis for France.

Distribution must be transformed, its costs reduced and the brand portfolio optimized.

There is no question of making a total break and marketing cars only through direct sales, in particular via the internet.
