The British government announced on Wednesday that the project to build a new nuclear power plant, Sizewell C, for which EDF is its main partner, has received "
development authorization
" from the Minister for Energy, Kwasi Kwarteng.
This project "
involves the construction of a new nuclear power plant producing reliable, low-carbon electricity to help
" the country achieve its goal of carbon neutrality by 2050, according to a press release, adding that the plant could supply 6 million homes.
