Better but be careful all the same.
This is the watchword from the side of the Banque de France which publishes this Friday, July 22 the 2021 report of the Observatory on the security of means of payment.
In the wake of a very strong economic recovery last year - +6.9% growth - the total amount of payment transactions increased by 17.5% for a total of 42,204 billion euros.
But fraud increased at a slower pace (+8.5%) to stand at 1.24 billion euros.
"The fraud rate has significantly decreased in 2021", welcomes François Villeroy de Galhau, Governor of the Banque de France.
