The Russian gas company Gazprom announced the reduction of gas shipments through the Nord Stream at the Portovaya plant to 33 million cubic meters due to maintenance work.

The RIA Novosti news agency quoted the Russian company as saying in a statement that "another Siemens turbine has been suspended, noting that the supply through the "North Stream 1", starting from July 27, will not exceed 33 million cubic meters per day."

Gas prices in Europe jumped by about 8% to the level of 1860 dollars per thousand cubic meters after the company announced that the turbine had stopped working.
