As the start of the new school year approaches, GO Sport is accelerating its efforts to get back into the race.
One year after the green light given by the Autorité de la concurrence to its acquisition by the Hermione People & Brands (HPB) group, owned by the Ohayon family, the network of some 220 stores (including 41 Endurance Shops) is preparing to facelift.
To do this, the network - taken over from Rallye for
"a few tens of millions of euros"
, according to the vice-president of HPB Samuel Alimi, is counting on an asset: its privileged locations in city centers.
They are ideal, according to the management, to reach a clientele of
“seasoned sportsmen, CSP+ and eager to progress in their sporting practice”
.
To regain tone, GO Sport wants to better stand out from its major competitors.
When Decathlon puts 80% on its own brands or Intersport on leisure and lifestyle items,
“we will offer 90% of international brands and, above all, we will reverse our offer, with 65% of the next collection…
