The recalled cheese was sold in Lidl stores in eight federal states

The Goldsteig Käsereien Bayerwald warn of foreign bodies made of plastic in grated Emmental cheese.
"It cannot be ruled out that the affected product contains blue plastic foreign bodies," it said.
Due to the possible risk of injury, customers should under no circumstances eat the grated cheese.
It is the product "Milbona Emmentaler grated, 250g" with the best before dates September 8th and 10th, 2022 and the label "DE BY 301 EG".
The recall was published on the nationwide food-warning.de portal.
The cheese was sold in Lidl stores in Baden-Württemberg, Bavaria, Berlin, Brandenburg, Hamburg, Lower Saxony, Rhineland-Palatinate and Schleswig-Holstein.
The packs would be taken back there and the purchase price refunded, even without a receipt, said the cheese dairies from Cham in eastern Bavaria.
