Since May 17, Mercedes-Benz has been marketing the first quasi-autonomous car.
The driver of an E class who has chosen this option can no longer hold the steering wheel or no longer have to brake if he is traveling on German motorways at less than 60 km/h.
An innovation that even Tesla does not offer.
The Stuttgart group also has a head start on the American manufacturer regarding the autonomy of its electric cars: the electric S class EQS can travel 780 km without needing to be recharged, compared to a maximum of 650 km for the model 3 and Tesla's S.
A move upmarket which illustrates the will of Ola Källenius, boss of Mercedes-Benz: luxury "
which has always been the heart of our brand, will now be at the center of our strategy
", he declared in mid-May.
The premium and luxury offer, which represents two thirds of the range, will be allocated 75% of the investments.
