Incarcerated since the summer of 2020, Ghislaine Maxwell was sentenced on June 28 to a 20-year prison term for sex trafficking of minors, in the Jeffrey Epstein case.
If she intends to appeal her conviction, the heiress has been patient for almost two years in her cell at the Metropolitan Detention Center in New York.
According to information from the
Daily Mail
, published on July 25, the latter will however soon be transferred to another federal institution, located in Florida: the Tallahassee Federal Correctional Institution.

There, the 60-year-old businesswoman will be responsible for cleaning the toilets, bathrooms and washing up, reports the British newspaper.
For this work, she will be paid between 15 and 27 cents per hour, as indicated by Holli Coulman, co-founder of Pink Lady Prison Consultants, an organization helping prisoners.
If the prison staff said they feared for the safety of this new detainee, due to the media coverage of the case, they also said that she would benefit from much better conditions than in her previous place of detention. .

“I am mistreated”
From her cell at the Metropolitan Detention Center in New York, Ghislaine Maxwell complained, in November 2021, of the treatment inflicted on her.
"I have been assaulted and abused for almost a year and a half," she said.
After being in solitary confinement for nearly 16 months, Jeffrey Epstein's accomplice explained: “I haven't had a single nutritious meal in all this time.
I haven't slept without lights on - fluorescent lights that hurt my eyes - or been allowed to sleep without being constantly interrupted."
