Data from the US Department of Energy showed that crude oil stocks in the US Strategic Petroleum Reserve fell to their lowest level.
Reuters reported that the stockpile of crude oil in the US strategic reserve fell to 369.9 million barrels, the lowest level since May 1985.
The data indicated that the amount that was withdrawn from the petroleum reserve last week, amounting to 4.6 million barrels, is the smallest since the end of last April, as since the month of May, the average withdrawals from the petroleum reserve amounted to 880,000 barrels per day.
