His tours took him to the Allgäu and South Tyrol, to the Andes and the remote mountains of the moon, to the Greater Caucasus and to the wild Pamirs.

In his book "Gipfelrausch" he explores the question of what makes mountains so fascinating - and what we can find out about ourselves there.
