The Ministry of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection has set the selling price of sugar per kilogram in the market for the consumer Dukma at 3700 Syrian pounds, while the packaged at 3900 pounds.
The ministry explained in a statement that SANA received a copy of it that as a result of the arrival of supplies, the price of packaged sugar decreased to 3900 pounds for the consumer instead of 4400 pounds, as the ministry reviewed the international stock exchanges, freight charges, insurance, clearance and customs duties, and asked the National City Company to provide real cost data and they were studied.
The ministry indicated that, based on all of the above, it was concluded that the consumer costs and prices for white sugar, the cost of one ton of sugar from the country of origin is 2,120,000 Syrian pounds per ton, and the cost of external shipping with insurance is 760,000 pounds per ton, and the cost of clearance, shipping and internal expenses is 360000 pounds per ton, so that the total costs One ton of the warehouse is 3240000 pounds.
Thus, the selling prices of sugar in the markets and for all commercial mediation circles are set after adding the profit margins per kilogram for the importer and wholesaler at 3500 Syrian pounds and the consumer at 3700 Syrian pounds, while the packaged for the importer and wholesaler at 3700 and the consumer at 3900 pounds.
