The Ministry of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection has allocated a point to sell bread in the city of Damascus outside the electronic card at a free price of 1250 pounds, with an additional 50 pounds as a transportation and distribution commission, with a maximum of two bundles for each citizen.

The ministry explained in a statement that SANA received a copy of it that this experiment came with the aim of securing the citizens’ need for bread in the easiest way, and to reduce the phenomenon of bread trafficking by some sellers in front of bakeries, who are mainly collectors of electronic cards, and to dry up the black market by providing the material in addition to providing quantities Additional bread for families who may need an increase in the material for any reason, and the provision of bread for travelers to other governorates for various reasons that do not require the transfer of their cards.

According to the statement, the ministry is working hard to expand the experience within the city of Damascus and generalize it to the rest of the provinces if it is successful by allocating a niche to sell bread at cost price in each bakery, in addition to kiosks close to bakeries, especially where there is severe overcrowding with an emphasis on control to limit the use of ration bread In restaurants and establishments prohibited from using it, and taking the necessary legal measures against violators, pursuant to Decree No. “8” of 2021.
