An opinion poll conducted by the American network (ABC) News and the specialized consulting company (Ipsos) showed that 70 percent of Americans believe that their country's economy is getting worse, the highest indicator since 2008.

According to the poll published by the News Network today, more than two-thirds of Americans who were surveyed believe that the economic situation is deteriorating, compared to only 12 percent who see it in good condition and 18 percent who think it is stable.

The network stated that the poll was conducted on the fifth and sixth of this month and included many people from all levels and segments of society.

According to official data issued by the US Department of Labor, unemployment claims in the US increased by 4,000 applications last week.
