Chinese official data showed that the value of China's foreign trade in merchandise increased by 10.4 percent year on year to reach 23.6 trillion yuan, equivalent to 3.5 trillion US dollars, during the first seven months of this year.
The data of the General Administration of Customs, published by Xinhua, indicated that the value of exports rose by 14.7 percent year on year to reach 13.7 trillion yuan in the period from January to July, while the value of imports increased by 5.3 percent to 10.23 trillion yuan.
During the mentioned period, China's trade with the countries of the "Belt and Road Initiative" and members of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership jumped by 19.8 percent and 7.5 percent year on year, respectively, as China's trade in July with the members of the Regional Economic Partnership reached 1.17 trillion yuan, an increase of 18.8 percent, which stimulates trade growth The overall foreign policy increased by 5.6 percentage points.
