According to the online newspaper
Politico
, the regulations governing passenger rights within the European Union, dating from 2004, have been brought back to the table by lobbyists.
These point to the excessive constraints and the high cost for the airlines.
Currently, passengers of European companies can be taken care of and receive a lump sum compensation ranging from 250 to 600 euros, depending on the distance of the flight, when it is canceled or is delayed by more than three hours.
But the companies would like the Union to review this threshold...
