Data released by the China Machinery Industry Association showed an increase in industry revenues during the first half of this year.
"Total machinery industry exports rose 10.41 percent year on year, which indicates the industry's resilience," Xinhua news agency quoted Chen Bin, executive vice president of the association, as saying.
The data showed that the total operating income of the sector's companies amounted to 12.95 trillion yuan, an increase of 5.44 percent year on year.
The data showed an increase in the added value of the industry by 0.7 percent on an annual basis during the mentioned period.
The China Machinery Industry Association attributed the recorded expansion to a set of measures aimed at boosting growth since the beginning of this year.
