Risks of power cuts: the State runs nuclear power plants in summer to prepare for winter

Five nuclear power plants, which should have seen their production of electricity reduced or stopped because of the temperature of the cooling waters.


At the height of summer, the government is already preparing for winter.

If the thermometer has been regularly approaching 40 degrees for several weeks, the State is worried about an upcoming harsh winter which would put the means of electricity production overheating.
