Gold prices in the local market rose by four thousand pounds, with an ounce rising globally to 1806 dollars.
According to the bulletin issued by the Craft Society for Crafting and Making Jewelry in Damascus today, a gram of 21 carat gold recorded a selling price of 213,000 Syrian pounds and a purchase price of 212,500 pounds, while the 18-carat gram selling price was 182571 pounds and the purchase price of 182071 pounds.
The price of gold in the local market rose a few days ago to 3 thousand Syrian pounds, above the price that it settled on since the beginning of this month.
