The Japanese government announced that it resumed importing oil from Russia during the month of July.
The Japanese Ministry of Finance said in a statement today, reported by Sputnik agency, that Russian oil imports resumed during the past month, while their volume decreased by 65.4 percent compared to July 2021.
The ministry indicated that a decrease in the volume of liquefied natural gas imports was recorded during this period by 26.1 percent, in addition to a decrease in imports of items such as coal by 40.1 percent, grains 73.1 percent and vegetables 60.6 percent, while imports of fish and fish products increased by 21.7 percent in July from This year compared to the same month last year.
In June of this year, Japan reduced oil imports from Russia to zero, while the volume of other imports decreased by 21.7 percent compared to the same time period of the previous year.
