French journalist specializing in economic issues, Francois Lengel, revealed that Russian oil and gas revenues continue to grow thanks to Western sanctions against Moscow, not because of them, noting that Moscow earns about 3,700 euros from oil and gas every second.
"European countries have paid Russia more than 86 billion euros since February 24, equivalent to 3,700 euros every second," Lengel said in an interview with the German RTL channel today, noting that Russia does not need funding because after the imposition of sanctions. Due to the special operation in Ukraine increased its revenues from oil and gas by 40 percent.
Lengel added that Russia is literally swimming in money not because of the sanctions that raised prices, but thanks to the sanctions that raised prices and unleashed speculation in the market at much higher prices, which means a lot of money.
Lingle asserted that sanctions have increased inflation in the West and allowed Russia to benefit while Western oil and gas buyers are forced to tighten their belts.
