Oil prices closed up about three percent today, while members of the OPEC Plus group agreed to cut production by 100,000 barrels per day to boost prices.
According to Reuters, Brent crude futures for November delivery ended the trading session up $2.72, or 2.92 percent, to record at a settlement of $95.74 a barrel.
US West Texas Intermediate crude contracts rose $2, or 2.3 percent, to $88.85 a barrel, amid weak trading.
