Chinese auto exports hit a record high in August

Official data released by the China Automobile Industry Association revealed that China's auto exports rose 65 percent year on year in August.

The data also showed that during the period between the last January and August, Chinese auto exports approached 1.82 million units, an increase of 52.8 percent compared to the same period in 2021.

The rapid expansion of new energy vehicles is one of the most prominent indicators of Chinese auto exports. Last month, 83,000 units of new energy vehicles were exported, an increase of 82.3 percent year on year and 53.6 percent on a monthly basis. Exports of new energy vehicles almost doubled during the first eight months. From this year to reach 340 thousand units.
