The German energy company (VNG), which is the third largest gas company in Germany, said that it is in danger, stressing that it has requested support from the government to avoid further damage to it due to the repercussions of the sanctions imposed on Russia.

And the Voice of Germany website quoted the company as saying in a statement that it had requested government support in order to avoid further harm to it and preserve its ability to act.

The company's statement, as reported by Sputnik, said that after the United States and its European allies imposed sanctions on Russia, the latter reduced its supplies and increased energy prices, the company began to suffer from multiple problems.

For his part, German Economy Minister Robert Habeck said from Brussels that the German company (VNG), which is one of the largest importers of Russian natural gas in the country, will receive support from the state.

It is noteworthy that (VNG) is the latest German energy company to request government assistance as a result of the energy crisis caused by the sanctions imposed on Russia, which is a major supplier of gas in Germany and produces 20 percent of its needs.
