At first glance, this is good news: absenteeism fell by 10% in France last year compared to 2020, with 22.6 days of absence per year and per employee (37% of employees are concerned by at least one absence over the year), according to the results of the 14th Absenteeism Barometer and the Ayming-AG2R La Mondiale Commitment.

Indeed, while absences peaked in 2020 due to the Covid, they remain in 2021 significantly higher than their pre-health crisis level - with a rate of 6.19% of employees missing on call in the companies, compared to 5.54% in 2019. Worse, if we look at their evolution in recent years, we see that their progression is continuous, absenteeism having increased by 36% since 2015. The absenteeism rate for work stoppages of work longer than 90 days has gone from 2.82% in 2019 to 3.14% in 2021. It is therefore a phenomenon that is anchored in time in a very heavy way...
