The Russian ruble rose against the US dollar in today's trading and was traded below the level of 60 rubles to the dollar.
According to the data of the Moscow Stock Exchange, the dollar exchange rate fell by 24 kopecks to 59.94 rubles, while the euro exchange rate fell by 5 kopecks to 60.75 rubles.
The Russian currency is witnessing gains against other currencies as a result of the measures taken by the government in response to the Western sanctions imposed on Moscow.
