International Monetary Fund spokesman Gerry Rice warned today that downside risks continue to dominate the global economic outlook and that some countries are expected to slip into recession in 2023.
Reuters quoted Rice as telling reporters that "a large amount of data indicates a further loss of momentum in the third quarter."
The International Monetary Fund last July cut its global growth forecast to 3.2 percent in 2022 and 2.9 percent in 2023, and will issue new forecasts next month.
