The Russian Ministry of Finance announced that it has fulfilled all its obligations related to the international bond “Eurobonds Russia 2023” and paid them in rubles.
"The obligations have been fulfilled in accordance with the rules of the presidential decree issued last June," the RIA Novosti news agency quoted the ministry as saying today.
On the 22nd of last June, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on a new temporary measure to repay the public debt, allowing the payment of international bonds in Russian rubles, despite the obstacles and sanctions imposed by the West.
