Gold prices in the local market decreased by three thousand pounds from the price they settled on since the thirteenth of this month.
According to the bulletin issued by the Craft Society for Crafting and Making Jewelery in Damascus today, a gram of 21 carat gold recorded a selling price of 212 thousand Syrian pounds and a purchase price of 211,500 pounds, while a gram of 18 karat selling price reached 181714 pounds and a purchase of 181214 pounds.
The association affirmed the craftsmen to abide by the pricing issued by it, calling on citizens wishing to purchase gold not to pay for it except according to the bulletin, noting that any complaint from any citizen about violating this will bear the legal accountability for the craftsman.
