Wall Street's major indices opened lower today as investors awaited the rate at which the US Federal Reserve will raise interest rates this week.
Reuters reported that the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 131.2 points, or 0.42 percent, to 30,888.53 points, and the Standard & Poor's index fell 24.7 points, or 0.36 percent, to 3,875.23 points.
The Nasdaq Composite Index fell 94.9 points, or 0.82 percent, to 11,440.143 points.
