Russia's Gazprom announced today that its gas production has reached historically high levels, exceeding pre-Corona pandemic levels.
“We are at historically high levels in terms of production, and we have already reached the level of production that exceeds the level before the Corona pandemic,” Sputnik quoted the company’s vice-chairman, Vadim Yakovlev, as saying during the Tyumen Industry and Energy Forum.
This announcement by Gazprom comes despite Western sanctions imposed on Russia and the company's cutting off gas supplies to many European countries in response to these sanctions.
