The farmers of Al-Hasakah Governorate continue to harvest the areas planted with the cotton crop, which began about ten days ago in the various areas of agricultural stability.
The head of the Plant Production Department in the Directorate of Agriculture, Engineer Jalal Bilal, said in a statement to SANA reporter that cotton harvesting operations pervaded the various areas in which it was planted. Then the second harvest, which is expected to start at the end of the first week of October.
It is noteworthy that the area planted with the cotton crop in Al-Hasakah governorate for the current season amounted to 5910 hectares, with production estimates of nearly 19 thousand tons.
