Cyber, blockchain and antivirus are about the only three words we understood from everything they do at Acronis, but it was enough to see the joy of life of their employees to know that it doesn't always matter what we do, but how we do it

What we do
: Acronis unites all data protection and cyber security solutions with the aim of providing an end-to-end service to organizations in the cyber field and in addition provides systems with innovative anti-virus solutions, backup and management of the most advanced endpoints on the market, innovative technology for detecting and removing malware based on machine learning, and blockchain-based data authentication technology.

Location:
Acronis' offices span one floor measuring 1,600 square meters in one of the tallest buildings in Herzliya's Silicon Valley. The floor is made of polished concrete, the lines are clean, and paintings from the game "Pacman" decorate the walls. The color palette that dominates the space: black, blue and white.
Each of the meeting rooms is named after an Acronis site in the world, Singapore, Tokyo, Budapest and Munich, there is a wall of white lockers and seating areas with blue sofas and wooden tables between them in a diner style.
Most of the 84 employees sit in a spacial manner and only some of the teams have their own closed compounds.
The MMD is also used as a miniature gym, and has a cross trainer, exercise bike, stress, training bench and weights.
Coffee break
: The white kitchen in an antique style, in front of it round tables and around them blue chairs.
There are also sofas with high backs, and a bar table with white chairs.
A wooden chest on the side has a pressure toaster and a microwave, and on the counter a Nespresso coffee machine with capsules, and next to it tea and ground coffee, three transparent containers with M&M candies, a mixture of nuts and pistachios.
In the snack drawer there are Mars, Twix, Snickers, chocolate chip cookies, and several types of gum.
Underneath it you can find protein bars, dates, Milka cookies, Nutella, dawn chocolate, peanut butter, silan, honey, chia seeds and spices.
In one of the cupboards there are several bottles of Vitaminchik, chocolate syrup and crisps.
In the refrigerator there are several types of milk, cottage cheese, Napoleon, soy, Bulgarian, Gvanetz, and Miliki. Two birthday cakes waiting for the celebration and several types of bread. In the morning everyone takes something to eat from the selection and in the freezer there are tilons, magnums, floats and ice cream bars waiting for those who have to snack something.

has always
been a realistic type.
Until she started studying computers, physics and chemistry, the computer at home was mainly for games, and then she started programming here and there, not in a geeky way.
She transferred to a programming course at the MARAM, gained experience in the army, but wanted to be a psychologist and enrolled in psychology and political science studies and worked as an instructor in the field of data.
At the end of the degree, she came to the conclusion that it was not for her and began to specialize in data, in a variety of positions, among other things she was in various incarnations of the "Matrix" company " for 13 years. Two years ago she decided she had to make a change, quit her job and enrolled in a year of "Data Science" diploma studies at Tel Aviv University.
"I graduated a year or so ago," she says, "and I started working on LinkedIn looking for a job. Then through someone who was once my manager, I arrived in January of this year at Acronis.
Maxim
was born with an autoimmune disease called "myasthenia", which is characterized by variable and worsening muscle weakness.
The disease is caused by self-production of antibodies that disrupts the connection between bone and muscle.
From a young age he is treated with drugs, physical therapy, neurology, advanced treatments, and he sits in a wheelchair.
"My health condition has never been an obstacle for me," he says.
"People perceive that I am smart and clever and understand that there is something to work with here."
He got his first computer, a kind of monster that took up half a room, when he turned ten.
He played, programmed and created his first website when he was 17. At the age of 22, after graduating with a master's degree in marketing and business management, he opened his first company and sold it a year later to immigrate to Israel.
"We grew up with Israel in our hearts and the USA in our heads.
Staying in Paris was not an option for me, because France is a country without social leadership and with many stigmas on Jews.
After immigrating, I started working for a tourism company and in a short time they realized that I had the ability to market and manage products in the digital channels and that's what I did there.
"After five years I set out on my own. I entered the world of Salesforce at the Balink company and after a year and a half I advanced to managing the CRM at a digital marketing company. While working I wanted to work in all kinds of places and then I started working as a database manager at Webschool, because I recognized that there was potential here To open a first course through the Ministry of Labor with a Salesforce diploma. While in the role I learned development and code.
"At the end of 2021, I saw an ad on LinkedIn for a position at Acronis, I sent a resume and they contacted me. I am a development manager in the Salesforce world, and I have 12 people in the management team, most of them from Bulgaria and Kazakhstan whom I have never met face to face and five employees under me. At work, everything is accessible, I have My own parking space and everything is taken care of for me.
Natan
, who also came from France, came to Akronis thanks to Maxim. They met eight years ago in the Accelerator program, there was a click between them and they kept in touch over the years. When he was looking for a job, Maxim passed his resume and stood by him in the process. "He deserves every shekel," Matsadik gave the nice bonus he received as part of the "Friend Brings Friend" program, "because he answered all my questions and I had quite a few."
He testifies to himself that he was never a technological person, did not excel in mathematics and physics, but he always had a fondness for new things, wine, a book, a gadget.
He used the computer to download music and movies and talk to his family in the US. When he finished high school, he enrolled in media and journalism studies with a specialization in economics and was bored to death.

: Maxim likes to travel in Israel and the world in a wheelchair.
He recently visited Greece and Cyprus and even climbed a mountain with the help of an escort.
Dana likes to make soup.
She used to wake up almost every day early, go to clean her head in the sea, take a good shower in the office and start work.
Today, she manages to steal this little pleasure only on the weekend. Besides, she practices Pilates and reads books. Nathan takes a very active part in the Friday Parliament with friends over beer, collects whiskey bottles, and paints in oil and acrylic.
Added value
: a month ago Dana's team met , who were scattered across Europe and Singapore, for a five-day training in Serbia, and although they had not met physically before, they felt the closest in the world, something that characterizes human relations in society - which is not obvious in a global society.
Natan likes the personal touch.
"During the recruitment process, my grandmother passed away and when I flew to her funeral, they froze my recruitment process to let me breathe for a moment and told me to take another week to reset."
Maxim tells about a strong sense of community and an active WhatsApp group.
Every holiday the employees receive 500 shekels in shopping vouchers and on Purim there was an equal party, every three weeks there is a pampering Happy Hour, and Natan works on the FIFA PlayStation competition during the upcoming World Cup.
The employees can freely use a self-learning system, each of them has a subscription to a website with professional courses And those who want to take part in contributing to the community are more than welcome, for example, to join in building schools or study programs in backward countries. At the beginning of the war in Ukraine, the workers organized themselves to donate money and the company doubled the amount.

: Natan, who is the face of Akronis and therefore must be presentable, makes sure to wear button-down shirts, but he has a hoodie in the car that he can throw on himself.

Salary
: When looking for a job, Natan received higher base salary offers than Acronis, but explains that the salary is not the only factor, even though it is definitely competitive.

: Maxim constantly strives forward.
He tries to be innovative, propose ideas and bring new methods to society and for him the sky is the limit.
Nathan has just started the journey and Dana wants to be part of the huge revolution that Acronis is leading.
