Natural gas prices in Europe rose today by more than 10 percent.
Russia Today channel reported that the rise came due to the uncertainty about gas supplies to Europe, after the (South Stream Transport) company, the operator of the (Turkish Stream) pipeline, announced the early cancellation of the company's export license due to the new European Union sanctions.
The company said in a statement that the new sanctions do not restrict gas supplies through the pipeline to Turkey and European countries, and accordingly it has applied to renew the license.
