At New York
By appointment only.
On Friday and Saturday, a few hundred VICs (
Very Important Customers
) of Hermès were invited to preview the saddler's new New York house, at 706 Madison Avenue.
Each one liking to feel unique and pampered, a sales assistant presented them with a personalized selection of products, as well as the exclusive objects made for the inauguration: American Quilts silk squares, a few Kelly bags, two watches (HermèsH08 Madison and Arceau Madison) or even a jukebox and a bicycle.
From this Monday, all Hermès fans will have access to 706 Madison.
As soon as they enter, they will be able to admire an 1880 cabriolet for children, a piece from the Émile Hermès collection considered to be the store's mascot.
"You noticed its colors, black and yellow, does that remind you of anything?"
, smiles Pierre-Alexis Dumas, the artistic director of Hermès, in a nod to the

yellow cabs .
