The Local Production and Exports Support and Development Authority has announced the opening of the door to apply for the accreditation program for marketing the citrus season 2022-2023.

The authority specified the period for submitting applications to the authority’s headquarters and benefiting from the program from the date of the 9th of October 2022 until the 31st of January 2023 to be examined and evaluated by the technical teams formed for this purpose, and approved if they comply with the specific conditions and criteria for accreditation.

In a statement to SANA reporter, Thaer Fayyad, director of the authority, explained that this program comes in cooperation between the Ministry of Economy and Foreign Trade, represented by the Authority for Support and Development of Local Production and Exports, and the Ministry of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform, which allows all owners of citrus farms to apply to it, regardless of size.

Fayyad indicated that applications are submitted to the Directorate of Agriculture and the departments of agriculture in the concerned governorate. As for the owners of sorting and packaging centers in the governorates of Tartous and Latakia, those wishing to submit applications can submit applications in the directorates of industry in the relevant governorate.
