Oil prices rose today amid expectations that the OPEC group may agree to a significant reduction in crude production, when it meets this week.
Reuters reported that Brent crude futures rose 79 cents, or 0.9 percent, to $ 89.65 a barrel, after gaining more than four percent in the previous session.
US crude futures also rose 60 cents, or 0.7 percent, to $84.23 a barrel.
Oil prices have fallen for four consecutive months since June, while higher interest rates and a stronger US dollar affected global financial markets.
