Sales remain stable despite inflation of 6%. Customers are nonetheless adapting their consumption.

6% inflation, not even bad.

Despite economic uncertainties, the toy industry remains optimistic for the end-of-year celebrations.

“Christmas will be a welcome escape from a daily life marked by geopolitical tensions, price increases and the threat of the return of the health crisis”,

estimate the Federation of specialized toy shops (FCJPE) and the Federation of industrialists of the toy(FJP).

To date, the sector has had no complaints about the performance of its sales.

Despite inflation, which constrains household purchasing power, toy purchases remained stable compared to last year.

And if we compare them to 2019, the pre-health crisis year which is a benchmark, sales are up 5%.

“This confirms the good health of the market,”

notes Frédérique Tutt, toy expert at NPD.
