A hundred people gathered in the morning Friday at the call of the CGT in front of the headquarters of L'Oréal to demand wage measures this year in the face of inflation, noted an AFP journalist.
Demanding "
profit sharing
" on placards, employees and CGT representatives demonstrated on the sidelines of annual negotiations between unions and management, which should be completed during the day.
The CGT is asking for a "
strong gesture
" with a "
general increase to compensate for inflation
" in 2022 and "
maintain purchasing power
", in addition to measures for 2023, explained Manuel Blanco, federal secretary at the National Federation of chemical industries (FNIC-CGT).
"
Given a context of unusual inflation
", L'Oréal had "
advanced its calendar
" of the mandatory annual negotiations (NAO), which "
should end on October 21
“, indicated the direction of the group.
The CGT notably asks for an immediate increase of 150 euros.
The union has called for a strike at other sites of the cosmetics giant.
A few demonstrators were gathered in particular in Vichy (Allier), without the site experiencing a strike or walkout, according to a spokesperson for the group.
“
Wages must evolve according to real prices
”, claimed Bouchra Dini, CGT delegate on the research site in Chevilly-Larue (Val-de-Marne).

" of 5.6% in 2022, and 6.4% including bonuses of 9,500 euros minimum and 16,000 euros on average per employee.

," launched Ms. Dini, the day after the publication of a turnover up 19.7% to 9.58 billion euros in the third quarter.
