Dan Snyder, the current owner of the Commanders, and his wife Tanya have reportedly hired Bank of America Securities to review potential offers.

The business magazine "Forbes" estimates the value of the NFL team at 5.6 billion dollars.

The Commanders have been repeatedly criticized in recent months for being accused of having a toxic work culture.

After an investigation, the NFL team had to pay a fine of ten million US dollars last year.

Recently, the owner of the Indianapol Colts, Jim Irsay, had campaigned for a sale of the Commanders.

Jay-Z wouldn't be buying shares in a US sports team for the first time.

Until 2013, the musician was part owner of the New York basketball team Brooklyn Nets.
