Oil prices fell in the global markets today by more than a dollar per barrel due to talks about setting a price for Russian oil.
Reuters reported that Brent crude futures fell by $2, or 2.26 percent, to $86.36 a barrel, while US West Texas Intermediate crude futures fell $1.57, or 1.94 percent, to $79.38 a barrel.
Both crude futures rose more than a dollar a barrel earlier today, but they gave up their gains following reports that the ceiling imposed by the Group of Seven on the price of Russian oil may be higher than the level it is currently trading at.
