Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin announced that the decline in Russia's GDP in 2022 could be less than 3 percent.
Russia Today quoted Mishustin as saying today during a government meeting devoted to economic issues: The preliminary data indicates that the pessimistic expectations about a double-digit economic decline were wrong.
For his part, the head of the Russian Supervision and Inspection Authority, Alexei Kudrin, indicated that the decline of the Russian economy in 2022 may not be as critical as expected.
And the Russian Statistics Authority (Rosstat) had previously stated that the decline in gross domestic product in the third quarter of this year amounted to 4 percent on an annual basis, which is the same result that was achieved in the previous quarter.
