The Irish Paschal Donohoe is the only candidate to succeed him as president of the Eurogroup, an informal body which brings together the finance ministers of the 19 countries sharing the single currency, according to a press release published Thursday.
The election of the new president, for a two-and-a-half-year term, is due to take place at the next Eurogroup meeting on December 5.
Paschal Donohoe, 48, has held this position since July 2020.
