(Gazprom Export) announced that it did not violate the contracts it signed with the German company Uniper for the supply of Russian gas, and that the latter's claims for compensation for damages are illegitimate.
“Gazprom Export confirms that the German company Uniper has initiated litigation procedures, and at the present time we are studying the statement of claim received, noting that work is underway to protect the interests of the Russian company within the legal framework,” TASS news agency quoted the Russian company as saying in a statement.
And the German gas company, Uniper, announced that it would sue the Russian company (Gazprom) because of the losses incurred by it due to the reduction of gas supplies from Russia.
