After six months of discussions and exchanges on the state of their research in energy storage and management, Renault and Airbus have decided to work hand in hand in solid-state batteries.

The two groups have just formalized a research and development agreement to give birth to a new generation of more efficient, lighter batteries, which could equip the small hybrid planes and electric cars of tomorrow in the medium term.

These could travel greater distances before needing to be recharged.
