Chinese official data revealed today that state-owned companies in China recorded increased revenues in the first ten months of this year.
According to data from the Ministry of Finance published by Xinhua, these companies recorded operating income of 66.42 trillion yuan, equivalent to about 9.25 trillion US dollars, between January and October, an increase of 8.9 percent over the same period last year.
The data indicated that net profits of centrally managed state-owned enterprises rose 3.9 percent from a year earlier, reaching nearly 1.7 trillion yuan in the first 10 months of this year.
