Gold prices jumped to a two-week high in early Asian trade today.

And Reuters reported that gold in spot transactions rose 0.4 percent to $ 1775.77 an ounce, after touching the highest level since the 16th of last November.

US gold futures rose 1.7 percent to $1,788.90 an ounce.

As for other precious metals, silver increased in spot transactions by 0.3 percent to $22.26 an ounce, platinum rose 0.6 percent to $10.38.46 an ounce, while palladium rose 0.6 percent to $1892.35 an ounce.
