The Director of the Automotive Industry Office at the Iranian Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Minerals, Abdullah Tavakoli, announced that the production of local companies amounted to about 880 thousand cars, in the first eight months of the current fiscal year until November 2.
Tavakoli said in a statement today: The production of Iran Khodro and Saipa companies amounted to about 750 thousand cars, in addition to the production of private sector companies about 130 thousand units in the mentioned period.
Tavakoli indicated that the private sector captured 15 percent of the market after its production volume doubled in the eight months.
