The first auction was a resounding success.
What about this one?
The “intangible” assets of the Camaïeu clothing brand, placed in compulsory liquidation at the end of September, will be put up for sale on Wednesday in the North during an auction, reveals BFM TV.
Among these assets is the "customer file" with the data of "more than 4 million customers".
These auctions provide for the sale of the brand itself – the use of the word “Camaïeu” as a brand – and of the brands associated with it, the domain names and the customer file.
The latter, according to the announcement published on the auctioneer's website, has “more than 4 million referenced customers”.
According to BFM TV, these are customers who made a purchase during the year from the brand.
Mandatory consent
These lots are put up for sale all at once for a starting price of 500,000 euros.
They could seduce people or companies who would like to use the name of this brand well known to the French to launch their activity.
The 2,600 jobs cut cannot be “recovered” in this case.
BFM TV specifies, however, that whoever buys the customer file must again obtain the consent of the persons registered in this file in order to be able to use their data.
He will also have to offer them to delete this data.
The first auction allowed the hard discount brand Noz to buy two million pieces for 4.2 million euros.
These products have since been resold in chain stores.
