Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Vershinin confirmed that there have been no major changes in the implementation of the part related to the supply of Russian agricultural products and fertilizers to global markets within the grain deal.
Russia Today website quoted Vershinin as saying: “The deal consists of two parts, exporting Ukrainian grain and allowing Russian agricultural products and fertilizers to reach the global market, but we do not see major changes in the second part, but we will continue to work with the United Nations to achieve this matter.”
The Russian diplomat pointed out that Russia's assessments of the grain deal and its implementation remain the same, in light of Western countries continuing to fail to fulfill their promises regarding the access of Russian fertilizers and agricultural products to global markets.
The grain deal between Russia, the United Nations, Turkey and Ukraine provides for the export of Ukrainian foodstuffs through safe passages in the Black Sea, while lifting restrictions on the export of Russian fertilizers and food to global markets.
