The main indices on Wall Street opened lower today, after selling in the previous session, due to fears that the Federal Reserve will continue to raise interest rates for a longer period.
Reuters reported that the "Dow Jones" industrial index fell 10.23 points, or 0.03 percent, to 33936.87 points, and the "Standard & Poor's 500" index fell by 2.21 points, or 0.06 percent, to 3996.63 points, and the Nasdaq Composite Index fell 11.52 points, or 0.10 percent, to 11228.42 points.
